Types of Dogs you can help through Fostering:

Emergency Short Term Housing

Be a hero when you provide an animal with a short term place to recoup, recover, or recharge.

Sleep Over & Field Trip

Just like it sounds, this is a chance to take one of our dogs out of the shelter for a sleep over and outing of your choice. Seeing the sights and sounds outside of the shelter does wonders for a dog’s mental health. They come back tired, but well rested.

1-Week Overnight Camp

For a week of fun, we can match you with an appropriate dog to take home for "camp". We're sure you'll get just as much from the experience as your new furry friend!

Half Way Home

Give an animal a temporary home until they are adopted. We'll provide the resources and support if you'll give them a reprive from the shelter.

Dog Day Adventures

Take a dog on an adventure for a day in this short-term dog fostering program.

Dog Foster Opportunties

Instead of coming to the shelter, fostering is a great way to help us save more animals by welcoming them into your home temporarily.  You provide the love and time, and we will provide everything else, including food and medicine. From orphaned baby kittens to low maintenance senior pets, we can help you find the level of commitment that works for your family. All lengths of stay are beneficial to our animals, and they are more adoptable when they come back. Each animal in foster care opens a space for us to help another animal in need. We have a dedicated Foster Care Coordinator to help you with all the resources that you’ll need for a successful foster experience. We’re happy to help you get creative if you’re willing to help these animals have a cozy place to hang out for a while.

Types of Cats you can help through Fostering:

Medical Recovery

Provide a safe place for our cats with medical conditions. Some are dealing with lifelong medical issues, while others just need time to recover from surgeries or injuries.

Orphan Kittens

Kittens younger than eight weeks old are the most at-risk population in our shelter. Fostering orphaned kittens is a rewarding process that saves thousands of lives in our community each year.

Bottle Babies

Kittens up to 4 weeks of age require special care. In the first few weeks of life, kittens are helpless and vulnerable and fostering is truly their only chance for survival.

Half Way Home

Give an animal a temporary home until they are adopted. We'll provide the resources and support if you'll give them a reprive from the shelter.
